As a business owner, it can be frustrating and time-consuming to learn about new trends and whether or not to take them into consideration. However, in June 2015, the U.S. Census Bureau announced that Millennials outnumbered Baby Boomers. And that is something worth considering.
Think about trends in a proactive way. This is a 3-pronged approach. It means knowing where consumers presently ‘hang out’, where they used to hang out and where they will hang out next. Be proactive instead of reactive. If a social network is adding a new feature that will benefit your target audience, consider ramping up ads and content strategy on that network.
Stay in touch with your clients. Try and find out where and how they shop. If your clients aren’t millennials now, some day they most likely will be!
