Co-working Spaces for Creatives
Co-working spaces are increasingly becoming popular among professionals working in the creative and the technology sector. These spaces appeal to people who might be working from home and find it isolating at times. Sharing a co-working space can come with perks, for example the opportunity to make meaningful connections with like-minded professionals and access to resources and workshops. A variety of rental plans are often available and might be different from one co-working space to the next. Generally, people can buy a punch card allowing for flexible drop-in time, or they can commit to a monthly table rental that often comes with some storage and Internet access.
Input Cowork is a co-working space in Nanaimo. According to their website they are ‘the perfect place to work, meet people, and attend industry events’. In the Comox Valley, co-valley is ‘an open-plan co-working space with a kitchen and meeting room’. Next time you feel stuck at home look for a co-working space in your community and check it out!
